| Dr. L.J.S DELICIOUS WELLNESS NOTE: The apple is a pomea close relative of the pear and quince. There are about 7,500 varieties grown worldwide, of which 2,500 varieties are found in the United States. DID YOU KNOW about the apple known as a Baldwin that originated in Mass., in 1740? How about the Red Astrachan from Russia that was introduced to the U.S. in 1835? Have fun by inserting cloves all around an apple. Hang in your closet for one the most wonderful scent combinations in the world. Remember that 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce yields 50 calories, whereas 1/2 cup of the sweetened kind DOUBLES your calories to 100! |
